Get Colonies was released by Sega for the budget price of only 2800yen. Most games cost 5800 to 6800 yen. At first glance Get Colonies looks like some sort of flash game. It's not until you start to play it do you realize that it's actually pretty good. The game sort of plays like a mutated version of Othello. There are a few points that make it different to Othello such as being able to produce an extra counter from one of your own. So you don't actually have a set number of pieces to play from. Of course both players start out with the same amount of counters but you can add to yours when ever you feel like. So, basically the aim of the game is to fill up the playing area with your coloured chips. Simple but addictive !
